We've discussed Eurocentrism earlier this year and I feel this is an important time to bring it back to your attention. In America, historians and history classes have a tendency to focus on Europe and American history. We have looked at the events that changed and developed society in Western Europe from 500-1300 C.E. and have just begun to look at the nomadic civilizations of Eurasia during the same time period. Which do you think was more influential on world history as a whole? Explain your answer and respond to at least 2 of your peers.
